The Frida Kahlo Makeup Brush Sets Review

The Frida Kahlo Makeup Brush Sets is being released by Anisa International and is being sold on Amazon. You can buy the Kabuki brush, a brush cleaning pad, a bronzer/highlighting brush, and a brush sets.

The Kabuki brush and storage case retails for 29 dollars. It has a heavy silver matte handle, with a metallic silver skull one side and Frida Kahlo’s name on the other. It has countless soft white bristles that ombre into a muted grey blue. The brush is very large, perfect for setting the face quickly and flawlessly. I personally love this brush and cannot find anything wrong with it. The case is perfect for travel, and the packaging is beautiful. It has red roses and watermelons sporadically on the packaging, and you can see faint grey patterns behind it. Frida Kahlo’s face is on the front, and her name is printed beautifully under it. The case is good for travel because it can fit many more things than just the kabuki brush, like a powder compact!

The Silicone Brush Cleaning Pad and the Highlighting/BronzerBrush retail for 26 dollars. The cleaning pad is a beautiful shade of red, that suits the packaging of the brushes. It has small nubs so that when cleaning your brushes, you can get a sure deep clean to get out any makeup you might of missed with your bare hands. It has a band to put your fingers in, and the silicone is super easy to rinse off so there’s no makeup residue on the pad. I think that this cleaning pad is a must have, it is perfect for cleaning liquid makeup out of brushes.

The Bronzer/Highlighting brush has a white handle with a metallic skull on one side, and Frida Kahlo’s name printed on the other, with a silver segment at the base of the bristles. The brush has a slight curve to it, and is perfect for getting under the cheekbones of your cheeks to bronze or contour with powder product. The bristles are extremely soft, and have the same white to blue-grey ombre as the Kabuki does. I personally would not use this brush to highlight with, I think it’s too big and would make too much of a straight line, but others may disagree with me. I love this brush though for bronzing.

The Face and Eye Brush Set retails for 45 dollars. It comes with four double sided brushes. All of the brushes have silver handles, with a skull design on one side and Frida’s nam on the other. The fluffy paddle powder brush is extremely soft, and versatile. It would be great for spot setting your face, bronzing, or even blush. It also has the same white to blue-grey ombre bristles. The other side of the brush is round and dense, and perfect for blush and contour. I see nothing wrong with either of these brushes.

The next brush in the set is a foundation and contour brush. The foundation brush side is round and dense. It’s extremely soft, and leaves no brush strokes on your foundation. The other side has a flat dense contour brush, perfect for blending a cream contour flawlessly, also leaving no brush strokes. I cannot find a reason to dislike these brushes either.

The next brush is a eye brush. One side is a blending crease brush. It is extremely soft, and is beautifully tapered, perfect for fitting into the contour of the eye and blending flawlessly. The other side of the brush is a flat fluffy eye brush. It can be used for patting shadow onto the lid, or blending the edges of a shadow. I also think it can be used for contouring the nose with a powder. I love this brush.

Last but certainly not least in the set, we have another eye detail brush. One side has a thin but dense angled brush, perfect for making a precise sharp line for the brows or eyeliner. The other side has a small tapered blending brush. This can be used for the lower lash line, or adding definition to the crease. I cannot find a reason to detest this brush.

In conclusion, I think the Frida Kahlo Brush Sets are a must have! I don’t have any reason to dislike any of these brushes, and i’m not surprised they have five stars on 100% of the Amazon reviews. I think these brushes are perfect for travel, or everyday use.

Gift Guide for Nappers

You know who you are, or you have that friend that loves to nap. I'm one of them. Naps are the best, and here are the best gifts for people who enjoy sleep.

Sure2Sleep Mattress

This mattress is the most comfortable mattress I have ever had. The Sure2Sleep mattress is 10 inches of heavenly gel memory foam. You just need one night, and you'll be in love. Comes with a 10 year warranty. Choose from plush or medium firm. Comes in twin, full, queen, king, or california king.

Privacy Pop Bed Tent

I have had this bed tent for about a year now, and I don't know how I would like without it now. As you can see in the picture, you can prop up the sides or zip them closed. There are also two mesh vents at the head and feet. These come in handy for the summer time. During the cold, (which is nearly all year here in Maine), I keep it all zipped up. I find it cozy and relaxing. It's so easy to set up, too! Worth every penny. Comes in all bed sizes. Colors: black, grey, blue, pink, tan, lavender, camo, teal, galaxy, rose, green, red, gold, and Hello Kitty.

Everlasting Comfort Neck Pillow Travel Kit

I don't need to travel anywhere to use this kit! Comes with memory foam neck pillow, sleep mask, and earplugs. Removable soft velour neck pillow cover. It even has a pocket for your phone. Comes with a lifetime warranty. Perfect gift for your sleepy friend.

Tune up Bedside Storage

If your friend's anything like me she wants everything in reach when napping - tissues, books, phone, pens, notepads, and booklight. This 6-pocket bedside storage does the trick. It tucks in between the mattress and base so it's right by your bedside.

Brookstone Nap Shiatsu Massaging Bed Rest

So, who's getting this for me? I don't have it yet, but it's a freaking massaging bed seat! I'd get an awesome shiatsu massage while reading my book and drinking my favorite ginger tea. Has a cup holder and pocket for storing - wait for it - more books! Or, you know, whatever you want. Folds up easy for storing.

Sunbeam Renue Tension Relieving Heat Therapy

This is something else on my list, and makes a good gift for the notorious napper on your list. Sunbeam Renue works with heat therapy for the shoulders, upper back, and neck. Comes in blue, beige, eggplant, and spa green. Magnetic closure keeps it in place. Washable. Super soft.

Gift Guide for Makeup Addicts

Are you looking for something to get your makeup addicted friend or family member? Check out this list for some inspiration for perfect makeup gifts.

Benefit POREfessional Primer

The benefit POREfessional primer is a must have in every makeup addicts makeup shelf, and it probably already is there! (Just empty and cut open to get out the last bits). Makeup addicts always need primer, because it’s the least exciting thing to buy. We get to distracted from the shiny highlights and forget about the primer, but regret it when we run out. The POREfessional primer by benefit is amazing at blurring pores and mattifying the skin. It creates a smooth tacky base for foundation to stick to.

The Maybelline Baby Skin primer is a known dupe for the Benefit Porefessional Primer because it gives the same abilities as it. It blurs pores and creates a tacky base for your foundation, and it’s not greasy which is rare for cheap primers.

The Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation is a full coverage foundation that a social influencer by the name Huda Beauty recently released, which means there is a chance your fellow makeup addict has yet to try it. It has a velvet finish, not too matte nor too luminous. It comes in so many shades so you’re bound to find the right one!

The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is very similar to the Huda Beauty faux filter Foundation. It is a full coverage foundation with a matte finish that erases pores and covers blemishes. It retails for five to seven dollars which is a great dupe compared to thirty three, with similar formulas.

The NARS radiant creamy concealer is the perfect concealer formula, it is non-creasing, non-drying, and full coverage. It is the perfect concealer for the under eyes so make sure to get it and a shade lighter or two so that your fellow makeup addict can highlight with it.

L'Oreal Pro Glow Concealer
The L'Oreal Pro Glow Concealer has the same non-drying, non-creasing formula as the NARS radiant creamy concealer. It is also great concealer for the under eyes so make sure to get it a shade lighter or two for highlighting purposes. This concealer only retails for $5 to $7.

The Laura Mercier transluscent setting powder is the perfect must have for every makeup addict. Make up addicts always need a new powder, so you can not fail when buying one as a gift. Laura Mercier recently came out with a couple more shades called deep and deep dark translucent for darker toned girls.

The Coty AirSpun powder is another must-have for makeup addicts no matter if you have a budget or not. it comes in a large container for only $5 and recently came out with a couple more shades just like Laura Mercier did. It's the perfect powder for baking because it comes with so much, and it's finely milled. The only downside with this product is it smells strongly of flowers, which some might not like.

If you do makeup and you haven't heard of the Benefit Hoola Bronzer then you must be living under a rock. The Benefit Hoola Bronzer is well known because of its matte formula which is extremely easy to blend, it looks good on most skin tones and comes in other colors also, to ensure you do not get a bronzer helmet.

The Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer is another very well-known bronzer because of its blendable formula and flattering shades. It contains murumuru butter which is extremely good for the skin and must be the reason of why it blends so well onto the face. It is also a matte bronzer which is why a lot of people see it as a dupe for the benefit hoola bronzer. This product retails for $7.

The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, Peach palette, bon bons palette, or any other food-related Too Faced eyeshadow palette is always going to make a makeup addict very happy. the Two Faced Chocolate Bar palette but lens amazingly on the eye without even needing a transition shade. It's extremely pigmented and comes with shimmers and mats, which means not needing to grab other pallets in the morning. The pilot even smells and tastes like chocolate.

La girl the nudes eyeshadow palette has similar brown and taupe shades like the chocolate bar palette. I have to admit it is very hard to come anywhere close to as good as a Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette and if I were you I would splurge on this item, but any nude to brown pallet will do to replace this if you cannot afford it.

Lilly Lashes are one of the most well-known eyelash brand out there. They have mink and faux mink eyelashes and so many different styles that it's hard to choose. If you are buying a pair of lashes for your fellow makeup addict always go with Demi wispies because they are flattering on every eye shape.

Once again it is hard to compete with the brand I've said before, but these lashes had to be included. They don't have the same for left me feel and look as a Lilly Lashes, but they look and stay on the eye because of the flexibility of the band. These lashes retail for only $1.

The Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara is another makeup item that is extremely well known. It is possibly the best mascara there is because it gives length, pigment and volume without any clumping, flaking, or smudging.

The Lash Paradise Mascara comes incredibly close with the Too Faced Better than Sex. It has a similar wand, formula, and even packaging. It gives amazing length and volume just like the Better than Sex mascara. It only retails for about 7 dollars!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush is always raved about. It is extremely blendable, pigmented (not so pigmented you’ll look like Pennywise), and comes in beautiful colors. I don’t know about you, but when I hear “Tarte” I immediately think about their blushes. They also have a amazonian clay blush palette that would be the perfect gift.

Milani is also known for having amazing blushes, with great prices. They are buttery and blend like a dream, pigmented, and come in beautiful shades also. Getting it in the rose packaging is perfect for a gift.

The Anastasia glow kit comes with six blinding shades. They blend into the skin beautifully with a major reflect. It has a white shade which is amazing for a highlighter palette so you can make the other shades custom to your skin tone.

The e.l.f. Highlighting Palette has similar shades as the Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Glow, except it is nowhere as blinding and pigmented as the Anastasia one, and it is slightly chalky. This is truly as close you can get to as good as the Anastasia Pro Glow. You cannot beat perfection.

No matter how you feel about Kylie, you can't dispute the fact her lip kits are amazing. The formula isn’t patchy, it goes on smooth with extreme pigment, and dries a non-budging matte. She is always coming out with new shades, and there is definitely one for everyone. The lip liners are extremely creamy and glide right on. You can’t go wrong with lip colors, and anyone would be happy to get one of these.

The Liquid Catsuit Lipstick by Wet n’ Wild is another really good liquid lipstick with a super creamy smooth formula that glides on the lips with extreme pigment. The doe foot applicator is pretty unique, the curve making it easier to line your lips as you apply. This lipstick also lasts for a very long time without bleeding or any patchy-ness.

The Too Faced Hangover Priming and Setting spray retails for around 37 dollars. It is great for people with dry skin to use as a primer to replenish the moisture, and is very versatile. You can lay down your foundation on your face and spray your face to get a better blend, or to help blend contour. You can spray your face before highlighter to make it pop more, and at the end of doing your makeup to insure all the powders melt together and create an airbrushed effect.

e.l.f. Aqua Beauty Primer Mist
e.l.f’s primer water spray is very similar to the Too Faced Hangover Priming and Setting spray. It hydrates the skin and can be used during, and after the makeup. The only problem with this product is it doesn’t spray into as fine of a mist as the Too Faced spray does, and sometimes droplets will be on your face, which can easily be solved with a beauty sponge.
